Britney wants to meet the Queen

She’s already pop royalty, but Britney Spears is hoping to chew the fat with some genuine blue-bloods while she’s over in UK on her Circus tour. Sources say the troubled pop princess is planning a visit to Buckingham Palace, and if the Royal Standard is flying, buzz the royal doorbell in the hope of being invited in for a cuppa.
“Britney’s schedule has been crazy from the minute she hit our shores,” trilled an insider. “But no way does she want to leave without visiting the Queen. She has told her aides she is desperate for her sons to rub shoulders with royalty. And she does not want to be disappointed.
“Britney loves everything the Royal Family stands for, so this would make a dream come true,” continued the insider. Hmmm… we’re not entirely sure that’s how it works, Britters. But still, it’s not her first brush with royalty. La Spears famously arranged a date with Prince William by email back in 2002, but alas, it came to nothing.
While Brit-Brit is keen to catch up with Her Majesty, one person she won’t be hooking up with in London is Lindsay Lohan, with the singer’s “people” said to be at pains to keep the pair apart. “She and Lindsay used to be friends, but it was all about going out partying. Brit's family are trying to steer her away from the every-night extremes that Lindsay gets up to," said an insider.
Hmmm… couldn’t Li-Lo just pop along to see the Queen too? Problem solved.
